Today my creative space is adorned with a new stack of goodness
(although I use that term loosely and with hesitation)...
Yay, my pile of patterns ordered from here in the 99cent New Years Sale finally arrived!!
(see I keep telling you mail here takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r...)
They were worth the wait though because what a bargain, even if you do pay an arm and a leg for "postage"...
6 patterns there are for {attempting to make} clothes for me - ya hooo
The others are for clothes for my girls or my shop. Or as you can see for some lucky dolls :)
I must admit that I'm just as nervous about the arrival of these as I am pleased.
I don't have a very good track record (or attitude) when it comes to following patterns.
Nope - following other peoples instructions tends to give me a severe case of mental breakdown!!!!
But I am slowly getting better, so here's hope that I can escape these without letting them get the better of me.
Does anyone else have a brain explosion when trying to follow a pattern, or is that just me?
More creative spaces here...
PS don't forget to enter my fabric giveaway if you haven't already - you know you want to ;)

What patterns did you get for you? I really want to start dress making, but I have no idea really where to start...!
Do you remember that reversible summer top I made for Em? That is a fab pattern and so easy. Six pieces altogether and it sews up a dream. You need that one. Bet not many on the market circuit are offering reversible tops. And they are also very comfortable on a hot day because they are loose and let the air around the body. I should have a dig around and see if I can find the pattern I used when she was three and post it to you, if you want it.
Good luck with them (it's just you, sorry ;o) )
It;s not just you . I cant follow a pattern to save myself. It's like they're written in a language I cant even hope to understand.
Good luck . Im sure you'll nail it.
It seems that the problem is not just me as I thought. I have never been able to follow those silly patterns but I can cut up an old outfit and make a new one so I guess I shouldn't worry. Can't wait to see your 'grownup'clothes :-)
I am close to hopeless when it comes to garment sewing. Pattern or no pattern.
Guess I'll just stick to quilts & quilty stuff for now. :D
